Give each material a role
Color, roughness and surface relief need separate controls and verified export maps.
The source idea
The texturing lesson combines image PBR maps with procedural and painted masks, careful color spaces, UV placement and readable node organization.
Our interpretation
The Solstice workshop practices UV placement, independent color and roughness networks, bump detail and Cycles baking. Color is read as color; roughness and tangent normal are data. The actual exported GLB embeds all three maps, while the original graph remains in the master.
Compare the stone color under both lights. Look for roughness variation and fine relief without a change to the vault silhouette.
What this study demonstrates
This implements procedural texturing and texture baking. It does not claim the lesson’s unique hand-painted wear or a complete reproduction of its long asset workflow.
