Points versus instance scale
Moving a point and scaling its instance produce different results.
The source idea
The points-and-instancing lesson feeds displaced grid geometry into Instance on Points, then drives instance height independently with noise, vector math and Map Range.
Our interpretation
Signal Field uses an eighteen-by-eighteen Mesh Grid, Set Position for point elevation, and a separately remapped noise value for each bar’s Z scale. Instance on Points and Realize Instances produce 324 bars. The master keeps the animated graph; the website plays seven sampled morph poses of that graph.
Scrub the wave and compare the bottom position of a bar with its top. In the Blender master, unhide the live graph and hide the sampled export to inspect the original nodes.
What this study demonstrates
The graph is actual Geometry Nodes practice, not a Python scatter. Browser deformation interpolates sampled poses; it does not execute Blender’s noise node live.
