BlackCord
A wholesale catalog and dealer-operations platform for electrical safety hardware — 363 products across 31 categories, same-day counter collection, and the admin console the team runs orders, quotes and dealer accounts from.
BlackCord sells the parts an installer never gets asked about until they fail — spikebusters, routers and adaptors, networking gear, cables and connectors — and the brief was to make 363 SKUs findable in seconds, not a scroll. The shop leads with search: paste a part number or type against the count, and results narrow live. The category directory does something most B2B catalogs don't bother with — it's written, not just listed, each of the 31 categories given a line of real copy ('Power comes in at one end of a building. Six shelves later, it is a camera watching the gate.') so a dealer skimming the shelf actually understands what a category is for. Behind the storefront sits a full operations console, not a bolted-on admin page: orders, a sequential quote pipeline (BCQ-26-00001 and up), enquiries, dealer accounts, customers, a bulk Excel importer for a catalog that turns over with every supplier update, and CMS control over pages, guides, category structure, the homepage hero and site pop-ups — every one of them editable without a deploy. Light, dark and system theming ship by default, and a dashboard flags what still needs attention — open enquiries, products still on demo pricing — so nothing launches half-finished by accident.
- 01A 363-product catalog across 31 categories, searchable by part number, with same-day counter collection called out up front
- 02A category directory written like copy, not a spec sheet — every one of the 31 categories carries its own line
- 03A dealer program and sequential quote pipeline (BCQ-26-00001) tracking every enquiry to close
- 04A full admin console — orders, quotes, enquiries, dealers, customers, pages & guides, category structure, media library and the homepage hero, each editable without a deploy
- 05Bulk Excel import for a 363-line catalog that changes with every supplier update
- 06Light, dark and system theming, plus a dashboard that flags what still needs attention
The counter now runs on one system instead of a shelf list and a spreadsheet — every quote, dealer account and catalog change lands in a console the team edits directly, with the dashboard itself naming what is left before launch: real pricing in place of the demo sheet.
