Scale lives in the frame

A large object can feel small if the camera supplies miniature cues.

Live interpretation / interact with the view

The source idea

The perceived-scale lesson connects lens choice, framing and depth of field to how an audience reads an object’s size.

Our interpretation

Horizon Planet uses a broad planetary form and a restrained surrounding field. The interaction makes the horizon the main scale cue, letting a simple shape suggest a larger world.

Look closely

Orbit and compare the horizon’s curve with the amount of empty space around it.

What this study demonstrates

This browser scene illustrates framing and perceived scale; it does not reproduce the tutorial’s ship scene or camera settings.
