A mineral at the center
A focal material needs character without hiding the mechanism around it.
The source idea
The weathered-gold lesson separates material roles with masks, roughness variation and different bump scales.
Our interpretation
Helios now centers an enlarged lapis-colored mineral sphere with bronze veins, independent roughness and micro relief. The maps are baked from an editable procedural material. Five fine ribs replace the twelve heavier ribs so the surface remains visible among the gimbals.
Pause the mechanism and orbit toward the nucleus. Compare its mineral detail with the clean machined rings.
What this study demonstrates
This practices material separation and baked PBR detail. The nucleus is an art-directed mineral-metal composition, not a corrosion scan or a physical model of lapis.
