Atrium
A reflecting court beneath a limestone arcade. Individual voussoirs, quiet timber seating and planted corners make a small space feel inhabited.
The source idea
The environment lesson connects surfaces and lighting rather than treating a model as a silhouette alone.
Our interpretation
Closed radial stone blocks make the supported arcade. Cycles-baked travertine color, roughness and normal maps give every paving tile and coping a consistent surface scale. A two-target water swell and rooted plants introduce gentle movement.
Follow the mortar joints around the arch, then orbit down to the pool coping and bench feet. Scrub the eight-second water cycle.
What this study demonstrates
This is an original environment informed by the identified source observations. It uses editable Blender construction, scanned CC0 maps or locally baked procedural materials, and an authored eight-second loop. The interactive export uses real-time PBR lighting and shadows; it does not reproduce a Cycles volumetric render or use the creator’s paid asset packs.
