The source idea

The lesson builds three snowballs, pebble eyes and buttons, an edited carrot and a hollow fedora. Its chapter list covers Clouds displacement, UV mapping, leather materials, HDRI lighting and rendering. The inspected final composition places the character on uneven snow beneath a broad-brimmed brown hat.

Our interpretation

We constructed three spheres with editable Clouds displacement, tapered carrot loops, seven smile pebbles and a hollow eight-loop fedora profile. The original snow shader is baked into packed color, roughness and normal maps for the browser. The hat, ribbon and facial pieces share a head pivot with an eight-second gentle nod. A closed, uneven snow bed grounds the composition.

Look closely

Orbit close to the hat brim and snowball contacts. Pause the head, inspect the coal smile, and compare the granular snow with the matte leather. Scrub the nod to see the facial details stay attached.

What this study demonstrates

This is an original reconstruction of the identified snowman exercise, with a teal hat and authored head motion. The supplied archive was downloaded for local study; its photographs and texture files are not redistributed. The initial Cycles still adds original ice-crystal facets, airborne snow and sunlight under Poly Haven’s CC0 Winter Lake 01 HDRI. The interactive version uses our packed snow maps and lighter real-time lighting, omitting the render-only crystal scatter and winter setting. Use View Cycles render to return to the offline composition.
