Find the missing ingredient

Material detail should survive the handoff from Blender to the browser.

The source idea

The cabin lesson uses reference scale, camera and lighting trials, and isolated additions to find what gives the environment natural character.

Our interpretation

Solstice now uses a procedural travertine workshop: distorted bands and noise build color variation, a separate remap controls roughness, and micro noise supplies bump. Cycles bakes these into three packed maps. Planar UVs give the pavilion’s stone consistent texture density.

Look closely

Orbit close to a vault edge and compare its stone with the jade pool. Toggle the light to inspect the surface roughness and pores.

What this study demonstrates

The master retains the procedural source material and the browser uses baked PBR maps. The pool is a surface material, not simulated water.
